Overview & Responsibilities: This position is a Key Subject Matter Expert (SME) within Global Threat Management responsible for ensuring the continual and effective secure operations of Paramount’s physical operations. This person will oversee Paramount Features Production Security; provide operational support to the Production Security teams for other Paramount Global Production Business Units; maintain relationships with the U.S. Department of State and federal law enforcement agencies; and Crisis Management. This person will also support as needed Paramount’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), Global Risk & Intelligence, Travel Safety/Security teams and other Paramount Security operations. Strong writing and organizational skills, ability to analyze and write concise Situational Reports (SitReps), excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a 24/7 fast-paced environment are required. Also required is familiarity with technology, policies and procedures used to assess, prepare for and respond to any threats affecting Paramount’s worldwide physical assets, operations, productions, and employees. Develop and maintain best methodologies to safely secure production assets and personnel worldwide. Track and monitor productions worldwide and ensure communication procedures are in place to pass on emergency information to production management and Paramount leadership as needed. Assist with the collection of threat and location specific intelligence information affecting Paramount productions and events and present to Paramount executive and production management. Scout film locations with high-level production executives and represent Paramount at production meetings. Manage relationships with production leadership teams. Assist production management as needed with the development of their Emergency Action Plans. Assist in crafting and delivering physical security assessments of Paramount assets globally. Build and advance relationships with contacts at the U.S. Department of State, other U.S. Federal law enforcement agencies, and other country’s foreign police or security services. Aid in the response to various global incident alerts/threats; quickly assess conditions and situations based on system information; make notification decisions based on Paramount's incident response workflows; activate, and coordinate emergency response procedures; and maintain situational information and status of incident response actions. Assist in all information gathering procedures to collect, analyze, and prepare information that may pose a threat to Paramount's interests worldwide. Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans for the Paramount Studio lot. Keep abreast of current developments and standard processes in emergency management, business continuity planning, and GSOC operations for the development or revision of policies. Determine and submit Capital security improvement projects as needed. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree. • Minimum 10 years’ experience planning physical security for large scale events, conducting physical security assessments and surveys, writing SitReps, intelligence/threat reports, and organizational policies and procedures. • Minimum 5 years’ experience with security systems (e.g.: alarms, cameras, access control/monitoring systems). • Experience in leading global physical security improvement capital projects from concept to completion. • Proficient in MS Office -- Word, Excel (formulas), Outlook, PowerPoint -- and other related applications. • Able to work long hours and be on call in support of 24/7 operations. • Able to travel (domestic and international) as needed, plus a valid passport. Additional Qualifications: • Computer Science, Political Science, Emergency Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly desirable. • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance is a plus. • Broad knowledge of Security Operations Center policies and procedures. • Knowledge of the entertainment industry and production process workflow (script to screen). • High-level organizational and planning skills so that workflows are run efficiently and accurately. • Ability to set priorities, take initiative and exercise sound independent judgment without extensive direction or oversight. • Comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines. • Delivers quality service through creative and critical thinking. • Overseas experience is a big plus. Hiring Salary Range:
$124,000.00 - $160,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
