POSITION SUMMARY

CDK Global is looking for a Designer to join our in-house Creative team. The Designer will work closely with creatives, Marketing and other internal teams to produce on-brand multichannel pieces for Sales, Events and Human Resources. The ideal candidate will have strong insight and creativity, great time management and multitasking skills, an engaging portfolio of work, an incredible work ethic and a commitment to embody the CDK Global vision, core values and personality. CDK Global offers a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and flexibility to present alternative or creative approaches to projects. From national customer-facing campaigns and internal initiatives to social media postings and editorial content, you will be instrumental in shaping a consistent voice and visual presentation for the CDK Global brand.

Position Responsibilties

Work on Tier 3 to Tier 2 projects while supporting the Senior Designer on Tier 1 campaigns.Serve as a mentor for the Junior DesignerProduce attractive and effective designs for all media, including but not limited to print ads, digital ads, web banners, landing pages, direct mail and videoAdept at following brand style guidelinesOffer input to creative meetings and share ideasCommunicate with senior team members to receive feedbackCollaborate effectively with clients and other team membersSupport the team throughout the execution of campaigns and projectsFlexibility in scheduling time as needed. Some extended weekday hours should be expectedContribute new ideas, techniques and feedbackCommunicate regularly with clients, project managers and other creative team members how attention to detail while working on multiple projects at different stagesContribute and assist in the concepting of campaigns and projects with multiple deliverables while understanding the effect on the user experience and behaviorManage multiple deadlines and multiple projectsQUALIFICATIONS & JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 3 years of experience in an agency, in-house agency and or marketing environment as an Art Director, Designer or similar roleCollege degree in graphic design or marketing-related field preferredA strong portfolio demonstrating relevant experience in user-centric interactive design, print and advertisingAble to work both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving skillsStrong understanding of creative process and design principlesAttention to detail and production executionFollow project plan and timeline expectations from the beginning of the job to completion. Assist in making sure projects stay on specific deadlines.Well-versed in a Mac environment and Adobe CC software. Must know MS Office and other relevant industry software/tools.Have a solid understanding of design and presentation applications, i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and PowerPointKnowledge of web and digital trends, video concepts and email drip campaignsStrong knowledge of fundamental visual and user experience design disciplines and principlesGood knowledge of creative copyBe flexible and willing to adapt design ideas to meet technical criteriaPREFERRED ATTRIBUTES & QUALIFICATIONS

Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
