What you'll do:
Responsibilities/Duties:Greet all patients and office guests.Check-in and check-out all scheduled patients.Enter and verify patient demographics and insurance information.Educate patients about insurance coverage and in network vs. out of network benefits.Ensure that necessary paperwork is complete and on file (i.e. Insurance forms, insurance referrals, authorizations and/or waivers, specialist packets/forms).Ensure proper registration and billing documents are reviewed and signed off on by the patient/responsible party.Obtain or create electronic medical record number; enter it into PM system.Direct patients to radiology as indicated on appointment notes by the medical assistant.Address patient balances at time of service, set up payment plans when appropriate.Collect and enter patient payments.Schedule appointments.Notate cancelled or rescheduled appointments.Follow Patient No Show/Cancellation Policy.Review and update eligibility.Print and verify day end review.Submit daily payment collection reports.Balance daily receipts against TOS report.Accept and review patient disability forms and/or medical records requests for completion/accuracy, notifying patient of processing time.Release records to patients once requests have been fulfilled.Enter charges and payments for medical records requests filled in directly by our office.Accept labs from outside facilities, date stamps and forward them to clinical staff.Sign for all incoming deliveries (i.e. Fed Ex, USPS, Air Borne Express...).Open and close office prior to and following business hours.Assist patients and/or family members with any requests.Maintain a professional work atmosphere through behavior and communication with patients, physicians, co-workers and administration.All other duties assigned by the office manager.Qualifications

Qualifications:
Minimum of one-year prior authorization experience required.Knowledge of Orthopedic procedures help, but not essential.Knowledge of Worker's Compensation prior authorization guidelines.Polite telephone etiquette and good communication skills (written and oral).Computer literacy skills preferred, including practice management software, EMR, Microsoft Word and Excel.Detail Oriented and strong organizational skills preferred.High school diploma or equivalent.What we offer:
