Hickory Behavioral Network is seeking a licensed Psychiatrist for our behavioral hospital in Cambridge, OH. The Psychiatrist will be responsible for psych evaluations, patient discharges, overseeing NPs with direct patient care, and assisting with the development of implementing patient treatment plans while maintaining professional and ethical standards.

Medical Degree from an accredited school, have completed an approved psychiatric residency and be licensed to practice medicine in the stateBoard Certification in PsychiatryAt least 2 years prior experience as Psychiatrist preferably with mental health experienceCertified BLS provider obtained within 1 month prior to hireLicensed to practice medicine in the state within which the site is locatedMust have current state and federal DEA certificationMust obtain X-waiver license in order to prescribe Suboxone/SubutexAbility to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA complianceAbility to work as a member of a teamProfessional appearance, aptitude, and attitudeImpeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relations skillsOutstanding interpersonal and communications skillsComputer literacy and ability to use an EMRKnowledge of "best practices" behavioral medicine treatment delivery and methodologiesSound clinical judgment and decision-making skillsAbility to understand the requirements of the clientelePrimary Responsibilities:
Adherence to facility policy and procedures, State & Federal law, and Joint Commission accreditation regulations and standardsProvide initial patient psychiatric evaluation and final discharge recordsAnalyzing records, reports, tests, results, or examinations information to diagnose patientsOversee all Psychiatric Nurse PractitionersProvides episodic, preventive, and psychiatric care to patients as neededDevelops treatment plans in collaboration with medical treatment team as well as with patients and patient's families; educates and advises on medical issues as neededEvaluates the effectiveness of clinical care and monitors progress of patientsIdentifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice and as defined by privileging processParticipates in the development of clinical goals and objectivesMaintains medical records in accordance with Facility' s policiesWhereas, the medical director or designee will be available at all times for immediate consultationSeeks guidance and remains knowledgeable of, and complies with, all applicable federal and state laws as well as regulations and hospital policies that apply to assigned duties
