Job Description
The Manager, Donor Relations will support UT Health San Antonio's overall fundraising efforts through planning and implementing a comprehensive donor cultivation and stewardship activities. This professional will work closely with Institutional Advancement Senior Leaders to implement effective stewardship strategy, which includes producing personalized donor impact and stewardship reports and supporting the advancement team with high-level donor engagement activities.
Responsibilities
The Manager works closely with fundraising staff to advance the mission of the department to inform, engage and build investment in all internal and external constituencies.Ensure all donors are appropriately thanked in a timely and meaningful way; plan and write acknowledgement letters on an ongoing basis for donors to aid in the institution's efforts to educate, cultivate, recognize, and upgrade donor levels.Establishes relationships and partnerships with donors through gift acknowledgement, donor recognition, volunteer engagement, events and other communication.Manages acknowledgements, condolences, and congratulatory communication for the President and Vice President for Development.Collaborates with gift officers to lead content development and produces personalized and individual stewardship plans for key donorsPlans and executes cultivation and stewardship meetingsCoordinate and enhance benefits offered through donor recognition societies; implement programs and activities for stewardship, including lists of current members, recognition events and personalized communications.Create stewardship reports to educate, engage, inspire and thank top donors for their generosity; manage the production and delivery of stewardship reporting, including regular and ongoing stewardship reports, endowment reports, and other reports intended for multiple stakeholders that describe multiple fund types.Work collaboratively with the team on events: assist with event logistics and communications, compose letters, compile invitation lists, engage featured program participants, create programs and provide program materials, prepare event briefing documents, program scripts and participant remarks (as needed), and create and/or obtain awards and recognitions.Establish and manage information tracking processes regarding acknowledgement, recognition, ongoing communications and continued stewardship of past and current donors to enhance their relationship with the College and increase the likelihood of continued contributions.Develop, recommend and execute approved policies and procedures for a comprehensive, integrated donor relations and communications programManages campus wide stewardship projects.Supports the Office of Institutional Advancement on all matters related to Volunteer EngagementUtilizes the university donor database and technology tools to enhance donor relations programs.Performs other job-related duties as required.Qualifications
Strong diplomacy and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and demonstrate a high level of service and responsiveness.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with excellent attention to detailOutstanding customer service skills and high expectations for qualityStrong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilitiesMust be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressureProven ability to handle and maintain sensitive confidential personal information with discretionExperience working in Microsoft Office 365 Suite including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePointEDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree is required.EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of experience in Development, Alumni or Marketing, including progressive supervisory responsibilities is required.
