POSITION SUMMARY : The BSA Analyst I is responsible for day-to-day implementation of Bank's BSA review, investigation, account identification, reporting and analyzing transactions for unusual and suspicious account activity and responsible for timely and accurate filing of the Bank's suspicious activity reports. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Analysis (100%) Review, prepare and complete SARs detected from various monitoring reports including SARs under 90 days review tracking using SAR manager program on daily basis. Ensures that SARs are completed and submitted to the reviewer prior to the deadline for an approval. Assist senior analysts to log and compile SAR Evaluations accompanying supporting documents submitted by the branches or other departments of the Bank to support SAR documentation on daily basis, and inquire with the appropriate branch or department staff for additional information, when necessary, to assist the evaluation process. Assist BSA Officer in preparation of SAR supporting Document Requested items from law enforcements. Assist the BSA Operations Manager and / or BSA Officer with any BSA issues as needed. Assist business units on determinations of OFAC screening of transactions on daily basis. Advise changes in transaction pattern of customers to the BSA Officer in order to update the customer's CDD profile. Perform administrative tasks for the BSA Department, such as ordering of needed supplies and other equipment. Ensure all reportable cash transactions have been captured on a CTR form and verify the information on the CTR form matches bank database. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES : Escalates semi-routine issues or problems to direct supervision for resolution. Provides support to and may train less experienced personnel. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Experience and Skills Required : Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience is preferred. 1 years of banking experience is preferred 1 years of BSA related experience is preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone. Ability to communicate effectively with branches, team members and regulators / auditors. Ability to follow instructions. Proficient in writing in English Excellent analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to analyze and organize financial information and perform financial calculations. Basic math skills. PHY SICAL DEMANDS: Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less. COMMUNICATION DEMANDS : Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff. WORK ENVIRONMENT : Standard office environment. Noise level in work environment is usually average. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Compensation The base pay range for this position is USD $25/Hour - USD $35/Hour plus full benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
