Job Description:Perkins Coie is seeking a qualified and dynamic individual to take on the role of Proposal Specialist as part of a collaborative and supportive team of high-performing proposal professionals. The Proposal Specialist is responsible for coordinating, developing, and leading practice-specific proposals and related marketing and business development materials. This hands-on position will play a key role in proposal development activities, including fully supporting the Marketing Department and leading the team through a winning proposal.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThese essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation.Ability to project manage and lead most proposals with minimal oversight, including single practice area RFP responses, from receipt to post-submittal.Serve as a secondary proposal professional on high-profile, multi-practice, and preferred panel provider RFP responses, as assigned.Ensure all data gathering and processing for the firm's proposals and pitches are accurate, consistent, and submitted timely.Actively collaborate with partners, marketing team members, and other key subject-matter experts to develop clear, compelling, and winning proposals.Adhere to the firm's proposal processes and work to refine and improve.Support developing, organizing, and managing proposal content and help keep team-owned content up-to-date.Work with Design to develop creative information graphics.Participate in regular meetings.Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the position, consistent with the Firm's attendance expectations.This position may require minimal travel.SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIREDExcellent communication skills, both oral and written.Be a collaborative team player.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.Basic design skills and familiarity with digital asset management system.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within a fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-driven environment.Ability to quickly grasp specialist knowledge, anticipate potential issues, and devise contingency plans.Proven ability to work with all levels of personnel.Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through.SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERREDExperience working with Intellectual Property practice within a law firm, including knowledge of unique terms and nuances of practice area.Experience working with Foundation or other proposal generation tool.Experience using web-based research tools such as Monitor Suite, Docket Navigator, and Lex Machina.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEQualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of marketing experience in professional services, of which includes 2 years managing proposals. Law firm experience beneficial. here .This position may be filled in the following location(s). The compensation depends on qualifications and experience.Colorado compensation range: $67,490 to $100,280 annuallyWashington state compensation range: $71,190 to $105,780 annually
