Your expertise will ensure that all reports and disclosures comply with applicable regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies. This role involves preparing timely and accurate journal entries for inclusion in both internal and external financial statements, researching and establishing accounting and reporting policies, assisting in complex accounting and reporting transactions, and managing financial systems, including general ledger and internal control systems. Be a part of something great.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and complete financial reports on a timely basis, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for certain subsidiaries.Participate in the preparation of annual earnings, operating budgets, and goals and plans for these subsidiaries.Assist in monitoring accounting changes and ensure they are appropriately addressed in the financial statements of the subsidiaries.Respond to internal and external client inquiries related to financial statements and audit matters.Assist in the completion of monthly sales reporting and participate in special projects as necessary.Qualifications:Knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting principles as they apply to accounting systems, operations, and financial statements.Understanding of corporate system policies and procedures.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting products.Strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and math skills.Preferred Qualifications:Four-year accounting degree; CPA (or pursuing) preferred.Previous financial reporting experience.Basic knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and statutory regulations.Basic knowledge of insurance products, services, and operations.
