Job Description - Vice President, Benefits Consultant (WES0000004O)Description:We are currently recruiting for a Vice President, Benefits Consultant. The candidate can be based near any of the following locations: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, or Portland. The Vice President will support a book of business in the West Region.The Opportunity:

The individual will step into a multi-faceted role that offers the opportunity to have a significant and positive impact on the continued growth of our multiemployer consulting business. The Vice President will be a key contributor in the Region.The Role:

The role includes client management, consulting and project management, and new business development. Key accountabilities include:Understanding clients’ issues, anticipating clients’ needs, and navigating various potential solutions.Establishing rapport and building effective working relationships within client organizations.Providing a high level of creative, innovative, and strategic expertise to clients and colleagues.Collaborating with others at Segal to build and maintain effective and influential client relationships.Leading and/or participating in new business development initiatives targeting existing and prospective clients.Leading projects involving large and/or complex, interdisciplinary assignments.Ensuring all project team members take a client-centric approach to interactions and deliverables.The Vice President guides client service teams and plays a proactive role in mentoring and developing staff.Qualifications:Key Requirements:Minimum of 10+ years of experience within an employee benefits consulting and/or related professional services environment.Minimum of an undergraduate degree.Ability to step immediately into a direct client contact role.Strong business acumen and leadership ability.Skill in delivering/presenting complex information into actionable terms.Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills.Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse audience.Ability and interest to travel as needed.Demonstrated success in establishing rapport and building effective relationships.Effective communication skills with ability to positively influence and motivate others.Mentor and support the professional development of staff.Effectively identify and resolve conflicts.Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Segal:
