NeighborsAs the Head of Business Technology at Nextdoor, you will join a dynamic team that includes Business Systems Leads and a Corporate IT Lead. Your primary focus will be on managing the corporate IT function at Nextdoor and overseeing business systems such as people, finance, and CRM systems. You will be responsible for maintaining and managing IT platform infrastructure, including JAMF, OKTA, GSuite Administrator, Slack, and fleet management, as well as the Salesforce and Workday platforms that support our business systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless operation and strategic advancement of our internal technology landscape.

Impact

You'll MakeAs the Head of Business Technology, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team, driving the strategic direction of our IT and business systems, and ensuring their optimal performance and integration. Your contributions will support our organizational goals and enhance our technology capabilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborate closely with Accounting, People, Finance, Rev Ops, IT and other support functions to build a world-class technology footprint to enable efficiency at scale and to allow for the company to remain nimble as we grow.

Manage the technology budget, including forecasting, resource allocation, and cost optimization. Manage procurement of company's software spend, including vendor management and contract negotiations.

Stay on top of emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on the business.

Ensure compliance with Sox/ITGC standards, and best practices in technology management.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technology team.

Knowledge in Workday ERP or HCM is a plus.

Oversee stakeholder management and align technical and strategic objectives.

Develop and maintain a strategy roadmap for the IT function and business systems.

Set Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and goals to drive team performance.

Oversee IT assets logistics, asset management, and helpdesk operations.

Participate in in-person Nextdoor events, trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and other team-building exercises.

Build in-person relationships with team members and contribute to the KIND culture that Nextdoor values.

What You'll Bring To The Team

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar field, demonstrating expertise in managing IT platforms and business systems.

Strong technical and functional background in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

Proven experience in managing larger scale implementations, demonstrating your ability to handle complex projects.

A track record of driving cross-team and cross-organizational change while effectively aligning diverse stakeholders.

Experience in building or working closely with teams that develop internal systems, showcasing your capacity to cultivate collaborative and innovative environments.

Servant leadership skills with an emphasis on mentoring and coaching team members to foster professional growth and high performance.

RewardsCompensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create one overall rewards package.

The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $215,000 to $295,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your 'level' of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role. Compensation may also vary by geography.

We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.

Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
