This position focuses on defending construction disputes and construction defect cases. The ideal attorney will possess a strong background in litigation and the ability to independently handle all phases of legal proceedings, from drafting pleadings to representing clients in trials and mediations.Duties:Manage construction litigation cases, including disputes related to construction defects.Develop and propose litigation strategies to clients.Draft and prepare reports, pleadings, discovery responses, and legal motions.Conduct depositions, represent clients in court, and argue motions.Participate in mediations, negotiations, and trials.Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members to provide strategic legal guidance.Engage in business development activities and participate in firm-wide initiatives to support career growth.Requirements:Minimum of 3-8 years of litigation experience, with significant exposure to construction litigation and disputes.Strong ability to handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to work with clients and opposing counsel effectively.Ability to manage a substantial caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in the state of California or any other U.S. jurisdiction where the firm has an office.Skills:Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and document review.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Location:San Francisco, CA (Remote or any U.S. office location considered).This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney to join a well-established litigation practice and build a successful career in construction law, with the resources and support needed to thrive professionally.
