Position Summary
Atlanta United is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This individual will report to the Accounting Manager and assist in the day-to-day and month-end accounting for Atlanta United. Additionally, s/he will assist in the completion of the Company's annual audits, Major League Soccer reporting and on various special projects. S/he will provide strategic support to the finance team and management including process documentation, controls implementation, treasury management and other requested projects.
Role and Responsibilities Assist in the month-end close process including preparing journal entries, analyses, intercompany tie-outs, and account reconciliations; Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts in compliance with GAAP; Track and reconcile capital expenditures; Manage check depositing and cash requests; Ownership of sponsorship invoicing and revenue tracking; Effectively communicate issues and errors to departments and management; Perform ad-hoc internal reporting and analysis Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Solid understanding of GAAP CPA or CPA candidate preferred 1-2 years of full cycle accounting experience preferred Great Plains, Concur and Vena experience a plus Required Skills
Use of good judgment, professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative style Demonstrate high integrity, tact, and a positive attitude Strong communication, time management and organizational skills Strong Excel skills and Windows-based finance system knowledge Proven ability to concurrently perform multiple assignments and manage projects on strict deadlines Must be able to maintain confidential information Salary and Benefits
