Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Developer with a strong background in PL/SQL and Java to join our dynamic team in Houston. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in database development, optimization, and application integration, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages for complex data processing.Collaborate with application developers to integrate Java applications with Oracle databases.Optimize SQL queries and database performance through efficient indexing, partitioning, and tuning techniques.Analyze and troubleshoot database-related issues, providing solutions in a timely manner.Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Implement and enforce best practices for database design, security, and data integrity.Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance as needed.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to database management and software development.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.8+ years of experience in database development with a focus on PL/SQL and Oracle.Proficiency in Java programming, with experience in integrating Java applications with databases.Strong understanding of database architecture, design principles, and data modeling.Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.Preferred Skills:
