Talent and Workforce Specialist, Leadership & Workforce OptimizationThe Leadership and Workforce Optimization function at Accordion focuses on building the interconnected collaboration between the people (supply) and client (demand) side of the firm. Interconnected collaboration between people and business unlocks true potential in professional services organizations, enabling better solutions, greater innovation, optimized resource management, and a deeper understanding of how workforce-related factors impact the firm's financial health and overall success. We sit within the People team and work in close collaboration with HRBPs, Finance, and People Operations and partner closely with our stakeholders to support a high-performing, engaged, and adaptive workforce with strong leadership across the firm.
This position can be based in Boston OR Chicago office and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week. Ideal candidates should be local to the desired location.
What You’ll Do:We seek a detail-oriented and proactive Talent and Workforce Specialist to join our Leadership and Workforce Optimization team. This role will actively contribute to the success of the firm’s Managing Director Program and Resource Management processes. The Talent and Workforce Specialist will be instrumental in ensuring seamless operations, maintaining communication flow, and driving organizational efficiency in these critical functions. Key responsibilities will include:
Managing Director Program Support:
This role will support key components of the Managing Director (MD) Program to ensure smooth execution and overall program effectiveness. The main goal is to enhance coordination and operational efficiency across areas related to Managing Directors, including recruitment, onboarding, talent pipeline management, and productivity. Key responsibilities include:
Interview Process Coordination: Support logistics for virtual and in-person interviews, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and interviewers.
Candidate Support and Recruitment Administration: Provide administrative support for senior-level roles, including sourcing assistance and preparing offer documentation.
Data and Metrics Management: Track recruitment metrics, compile reports, and maintain detailed candidate records to ensure a well-documented recruitment process.
Customized Onboarding Plans: Support collaboration across the acquisition team, HRBPs, and People team to support the creation of individualized onboarding plans for Managing Directors, ensuring all logistics are in place for a smooth integration.
Managing Director Talent Review Support: Assist in collecting feedback and performance metrics, ensuring accurate data for leadership discussions, and documenting follow-up actions aligned with development goals in close collaboration with Talent teams and HRBPs.
Project Role Data Collection: Gather information on Managing Directors' roles and contributions across projects, ensuring accurate documentation of their involvement in projects and key initiatives.
Productivity Insights Support: Work closely with the VP of Analytics to track and analyze MDs' project assignments, ensuring this data informs productivity assessments and performance reviews.
Resource Management Support:
This role will support day-to-day logistics of resource management, assisting with reporting and data analysis, and managing operational tasks to ensure smooth staffing processes, support onboarding and assist in tracking performance metrics related to staffing and development. Key responsibilities include:
Staffing support: Assist with allocation of staff to project assignments, ensuring accurate updates to staffing databases; organizing and updating preferences, experience database, etc.
Data Management and Reporting: Assist in real-time data on project pipeline, staff availability and weekly reports. Performance metrics ensuring alignment with staffing goals.
Capacity and Project support: Assist Staffing Managers in project based demands, including support for contingent workforce planning to address temporary or project based needs.
Ideally, You Have:
2-4 years of experience in HR, Talent Management or Resource Management, preferably in professional services or consulting.
Experience supporting senior-level recruitment, onboarding, and performance tracking.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
Additional certifications in HR, Talent Management, or Workforce Planning (e.g., SHRM-CP, HRCI-PHR) are a plus but not required.
Familiarity with project staffing, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
Prior experience with data analysis, metrics tracking, and reporting to support decision-making in HR or workforce optimization.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Operations, to ensure alignment across departments.
Project management: Ability to manage multiple processes and programs simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with senior stakeholders, MDs, and team members.
Analytical: Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, develop insights, and produce actionable reports for talent and staffing metrics.
Tech-savvy: Proficient with Excel, PPT, and adept and learning new systems.
Collaboration: High EQ and team-oriented mindset, able to work effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
Problem-solving: A proactive and resourceful approach to handling challenges, with the ability to propose optimization solutions.
Detail-oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, especially when dealing with recruitment processes, metrics, and performance reviews.

A strong team player, able to work with team members across all levels.
Able to effectively communicate complex issues and solutions, and raise issues to senior team members when necessary.

Salary: $77,000 to $87,000 + benefits + bonus
