First Party Coverage Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join their insurance coverage team in either Fort Lauderdale or Miami. The successful candidate will have a background in insurance coverage and a strong desire to contribute to the growth of the first-party coverage practice.Duties:Provide legal advice and representation in first-party insurance coverage matters.Manage a diverse caseload involving insurance defense, including bad faith and professional liability issues.Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.Conduct depositions, court appearances, and trials as necessary.Perform detailed legal research to support case strategies and documentation.Collaborate with clients and team members to develop effective legal solutions.Ensure compliance with all procedural and legal requirements in both state and federal courts.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Minimum of five years of experience in insurance coverage, with a focus on first-party property claims.Active license to practice law in Florida.Strong academic credentials and excellent research and writing skills.Practical case management experience in both state and federal courts is preferred.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.Certifications:Active membership in the Florida Bar.Skills:Exceptional research and writing capabilities.Strong organizational and case management skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.Experience taking and defending depositions is a plus.This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled attorney to advance their career in a leading law firm specializing in insurance coverage.
