Employment Law Associate

A law firm seeks a skilled Employment Law Associate to join its Los Angeles, CA office in a hybrid capacity. This position is suited for a dedicated attorney with defense-side experience in employment law. The ideal candidate will play a key role in case preparation, legal documentation, and client interactions, contributing to a dynamic legal team.DutiesConduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and preparations.Draft and review various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.Prepare and file legal documents with the appropriate courts.Assist in trial preparation, which includes organizing exhibits and compiling witness files.Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings as necessary.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties involved in cases.Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions to advocate for clients' best interests.Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of experience in employment law, specifically on the defense side.Proven experience in litigation within both state and federal courts.Strong ability to conduct legal research using platforms such as Westlaw or Lexis-Nexis.EducationJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.CertificationsLicensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.SkillsExceptional legal writing and drafting capabilities.Proficient negotiation skills to represent clients effectively.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Familiarity with legal administrative tasks and procedures.This role provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to enhance their career in employment law while making a significant contribution to a supportive legal team.
