This is a temporary position.
The FLEX Director of Marketing Planning supports key strategic marketing projects, particularly related to Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) and marketing measurement.
This role involves planning and executing on identified initiatives to ensure successful delivery of Marriott International's marketing strategic priorities. These key strategic marketing projects will involve managing cross-functional stakeholders/processes, gathering relevant data, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses to improve marketing efforts and drive better business outcomes (i.e., improve short-term revenue and long-term brand building ROI). Core partners include Analytics, Loyalty, Digital, Finance and CX.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience Required
· 4-year degree from an accredited university
· Seven or more years of experience in marketing, strategy, business consultancy or advisory roles
· Proven track record of managing and executing multiple strategic projects simultaneously and successfully
· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Demonstrated ability to identify needed analyses and conduct basic analyses in excel or other tools (Power BI, Alteryx, etc.)
· Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrated ability to excel in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects concurrently
· Demonstrated ability to drive and implement change initiatives
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience Preferred
· MBA or other relevant graduate degree (e.g., data science, business analytics)
· Knowledge of marketing and media, including trends, analytics and approaches to marketing experiment/pilot design (e.g., matched-market, A/B, pre/post, people-based, etc.)
Role Responsibilities/Duties:
· Leads marketing strategic projects, particularly related to Return on Marketing Investment, marketing planning and budgeting
· Leads the planning and coordination efforts for identified project initiatives to ensure successful delivery against strategic priorities
· Gains alignment and buy-in from senior stakeholders to secure project initiatives’ sponsorship
· Manages complex stakeholder interactions to drive project success
· Partners with Analytics and Finance teams and external partners on processes related to marketing measurement and budgeting
· Drives change management and leads interpretation/ implementation of project initiatives by partnering with Marketing leaders through planning and execution processes
· Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills in project planning and execution
· Willingly undertakes and excels in challenging projects and initiatives
The pay range for this position is $65.00 to $80.77 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
