Communications Manager
for a non-profit insurance client located in
Chicago, IL . The ideal candidate will come with
5+ years
of experience. This is a
part-time mat-leave coverage fill (30/hrs per week), hybrid (in office roughly 2x's a month) ,
4 month
contract ( mid. January-May ) opportunity. Compensation for this position is expected to be
$25-30/hour
depending on experience level and fit.The Communications Manager will
oversee internal communications and stakeholders, implement communication plans, including media and content relations, public relations, corporate messaging, and digital communications.What You’ll Do:Work to increase visibility for the profession and the company, positioning the organization as a thought leader and ensuring messaging is consistent with mission, strategy, value statements, and voice.Lead in supporting organization-wide initiatives, various business units (Professional Development, Events, Member and Candidate Engagement).Assist in executing high-profile announcements, internal communications initiatives, and integrated marketing/communications programs.Be an exceptional project manager with attention to detail, highly organized, and a strong communicator.Be a self-starter who is willing and able to roll up their sleeves and accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment.Manage daily operations for the communications/content team consisting of a Sr. Content Specialist.Organize projects and plan event rollouts, draft events, marketing campaigns, social media, web, copy, content, etc.Support candidates and member growth for professional development.What You’ll Need:Education/Experience:5-6+ years project management or similar experience required.Bachelor's Degree in a related field.Background with a non-profit association/insurance company preferred.
