The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning, corporate tax law, and the creation of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. This role involves managing complex tax and estate planning matters for high-net-worth individuals and corporations. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to ensure that their estate and tax matters are handled efficiently and in line with their wishes, while also providing advisory services on tax compliance and legal issues.Duties:Advise clients on estate planning, tax strategies, and probate matters, including creating wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax and estate matters for middle-market to multinational corporations.Oversee federal, state, and international tax return preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Provide consulting services on federal tax compliance and corporate tax planning initiatives.Manage tax provisions and accounting for income taxes, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international tax laws.Research complex tax issues and represent clients in tax disputes and litigation, including negotiations with the IRS and state tax authorities.Collaborate with internal and external teams, including legal, financial, and tax professionals, to develop and implement tax and estate planning strategies.Mentor junior tax and legal professionals, providing guidance on complex tax and estate planning issues.Assist clients with estate administration and probate, ensuring their wishes are carried out effectively.Stay informed about changes in tax and estate law and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.Requirements:A minimum of 8 years of experience in estate planning, probate law, and corporate tax law.Expertise in creating wills, trusts, and estate planning documents for high-net-worth clients.Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations, including compliance with California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) requirements.Extensive experience corresponding with the IRS and handling tax disputes and litigation.Ability to manage multiple complex projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Proven experience managing client relationships and providing strategic legal advice.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the California State Bar (preferred).Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA).Skills:Advanced knowledge of estate planning, probate law, and tax compliance strategies.Proficiency in legal and tax software, including Microsoft Office Suite.Strong leadership and client relationship management skills.Ability to handle high-pressure situations with strong problem-solving abilities.Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on changes in tax and estate law.Location:
