The Company Job Purpose As a Business Development Manager and leader in the business, your primary role will involve driving the implementation of the Mining Technology Solutions sales strategy in the region. You will formulate and execute deliberate strategies and tactics to identify prospective strategic clients and foster new avenues for sales growth. Establishing and nurturing effective relationships across internal business units within the Komatsu group will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, enabling the creation of Unique and unrivalled value propositions from conceptualization through to closure and project initiation. Travel Requirements Up to 75% Job Duties and Responsibilities Each day will present you with new challenges and opportunities to test and grow your skills. As a Business Development Manager with Komatsu, you'll be responsible for: Prospecting new sales opportunities through industry knowledge, contacts, trade shows, and collaboration with Komatsu personnel. Achieving sales quotas and securing recurring revenues with accurate opportunity management through company business systems. Delivering accurate and timely outputs to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. Contributing to the forecast process and developing/maintaining a comprehensive industry network. Initiating, building, and leveraging key strategic relationships. Managing the opportunity process, including account planning, territory planning, call planning, and effective opportunity management. Developing business cases, delivering technical proposals, and negotiating Annual Recurring Revenue. Conducting effective contract negotiation. Advancing targeted sales opportunities, improving regional win rates and market share, and scaling strategic relationships. Maintaining business systems and ensuring Salesforce compliance based on company policies, processes, and management directives. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field. 5 years of experience in the mining industry and/or mining technology. 5 years of previous account management experience, preferably relating to the mining industry. 5 years of experience in sales. Proactivity, creativity, and focus on finding the solution to challenges. Accountability. Extensive administrative skillset with attention to detail. Solid experience with CRM tools and their use, preferably with Salesforce. Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization. Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability for effective collaboration and teamwork. Planning/organizing, prioritizes, and plans work activities. Desired Skills Experience and training with multiple Sales methodologies.
