About the Role:

Cloud Solutions Regional Principal Solutions Architects work closely with Trace3 sales teams to understand our clients’ business goals and provide them with technology solutions that help them realize those goals. Focused on consultative technology design, and professional service estimation, Cloud Solutions Architects partner closely with engagement-focused members of the team to ensure the success of a sold solution and delivery of the expected outcome.

The Principal Solutions Architect (PSA) for Cloud Solutions will be the consultative technology leader aligned to an ATS BU with a solutions-focused capability who creates strong client intimacy with their technical expertise. The PSA will provide education and thought leadership while translating client business requirements into implementable technology solutions. With the goal of driving both product and services revenue (NRR, MRR/ARR), this role will focus on the creation and implementation of the solutions architecture (mostly in the Envision phase of E3) by doing presentations and demos, writing proposals and documenting deliverables for DVS as well as supporting POC/POV’s and billable or non-billable workshops. The cornerstone of this role will also focus on building deep client relationships, gaining trust and enabling client success. Additionally, the PSA will be primarily responsible for assignment of opportunities to an Engagement Architect (EA) for transition to the Engage phase of E3.

What You’ll Do:

Lead pre-sales engagements as the Cloud (on-premise & hyperscalers) subject matter expert to solve customer problems and translate customer requirements into well-architected solutions

Create blueprints for hybrid cloud infrastructures centered around AWS, Azure and GCP (inclusive of on-premise network, server, storage, and management software topologies)

Provide consulting expertise on Cloud Operational Model and Well-Architected Frameworks

Own successful implementation of sold solutions by ensuring success transition of designed solutions to the delivery team and remain engaged with the client while becoming a “thought leader” for the next opportunity.

Communicate Trace3’s value proposition to varying technical and non-technical clients, including executive ''C'' level management, VP, and Director levels and individual contributors

Establish strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers in client organizations

Collaborate with Business Units (Cloud, Data and Security) Sales teams to develop playbooks outlining strategies for driving high value into strategic accounts

Contribute to the development of internal best practices as well as new innovative consulting services offerings that we can take to market

Contribute to Trace3’s presence and brand in the Cloud community via social media, industry forums, etc.

Capture and process the customer information to build a robust proposed solution that addresses the requirements while considering the solution’s efficiency, flexibility, scalability, reliability and availability

Prepare and present external demos to clients as well as help in identifying success criteria for proposed solution and potential Proof-of-Concepts

Provide leadership and mentorship and technical direction for other engineering roles internally and externally.

Qualifications & Interests:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience with public, private and hybrid cloud architectures

Experience working for a technology or consulting company focused on hybrid cloud architectures

Strong expertise in designing technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies and presenting them to the client from proposal to implementation

Knowledge and familiarity with adjacent technology in designing well-architected frameworks (network and security)

Experience with automation platforms and tools (Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, Azure Resource Manager, Ansible, Chef, GitLab, GitHub, etc.)

Must have a firm grasp on the industry and anticipate trends and movements while balancing maturity and timing of product offerings

Motivated self-starter who loves to solve challenging problems and feels comfortable working directly various roles within client organization

Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment

Comfortable managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment

Highest level certifications within Architecture disciplines aligned to Cloud and Datacenter technologies

Excellent presentation skills; able to comfortably communicate and present in front of C-Level Executives, VPs and Directors

Strong understanding of how clients use technology to meet business objectives

Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well with people from many different disciplines

Motivated self-starter who loves to solve challenging problems and feels comfortable working directly with customers
