Customers who come to Ascent Outdoors have the assurance that they will receive the best help in selecting the best gear to equip them on their upcoming adventure.About YouYou’re a highly organized, procedural, and thorough individual with an eye for spotting and remedying inefficiencies, skilled in managing a warehouse team in shipping, receiving, and overseeing a large rotating inventory while keeping a small space tidy and ship-shape.About the RoleThe Warehouse Manager is integral to maintaining our daily store and e-commerce order operations. This role entails managing all shipping, receiving, and inventory at both our retail store and warehouse. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in warehouse management and/or sales floor operations, particularly those familiar with tools such as Shipstation, Stocky inventory management, and Shopify.ResponsibilitiesReceiving incoming products: Checking shipped product against purchase orders and moving them to sales floor.Fulfilling new orders by regularly checking for web orders and special orders, pulling product from sales floor/warehouse, packaging, and shipping.Managing and delegating tasks to the warehouse team.Maintaining warehouse organization by managing backstock of product according to storage plan, developing and evolving storage plan to match forecasted and historical company growth, ensuring warehouse remains clean and organized, managing completion of daily fill in from sales reports and moving any necessary product to sales floor in collaboration with store management team.Running Monthly Analysis: Updating staffing analysis and managing staffing levels based on the forecasted demand in the warehouse and for assigned area of responsibility.Managing the transfer process between the warehouse and store.Ordering supplies for the warehouse and office, including shipping supplies and other essentials.Responding to customer inquiries regarding orders, assisting the support team with queries, and other miscellaneous communications.Handling product returns and warranties by partnering with the sales floor and customer support team to determine the appropriateness of a return/warranty case, returning product to manufacturer, corresponding with customers, and ensuring customers receive appropriate remuneration.Managing all aspects of your warehouse team in coordination with the Ascent Outdoors Leadership team, including hiring and performance management.This is a full-time position requiring a five day a week schedule (with some flexibility) and the management of the warehouse team to create coverage of a seven-day-a-week operation. Pay is dependent on experience.
