Job Summary:

The

Senior Unit Controls Software Developer

will be working on a motivated global team to develop real-time embedded machine controls for both HVAC Equipment and Equipment Integration into Building, Campus, and Enterprise-Wide Automation Systems. Where is the work:

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed on-site 3 days each week.

What you will do:

Demonstrate leadership skills within a small team responsible for designing, implementing and testing real-time embedded software for electronic industrial HVAC controls.

Effectively collaborate with cross functional teams ensuring software implementation meets project expectations.

Deep understanding of software development processes ensuring standards are followed by the project team.

Ensuring quality integration between software and hardware through development verification testing.

Advancing software development tools, technology and processes with the goal of improving efficiencies across the software development organization.

Estimate tasks and generate schedules for reporting to leadership and end customers.

Address software quality defects in a timely manner.

Some overnight travel will be required (estimated 5%).

What you will bring:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science is required.

At least 8-years of software development experience is required.

Java, C++, C or similar object-oriented software design experience required.

Experience in analysis, design, implementation, test, and debugging of software required.

Experience in hands on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets a plus

Experience in the UML and Object-Oriented Design a plus.

Knowledge of XML, TCP/IP, MODBUS, BACnet, LonTalk a plus.

Familiarity with database applications a plus.

Familiarity with embedded operating systems (Linux OS) and networking a plus.

Familiarity with software configuration management and defect tracking tools a plus.

HVAC equipment/systems knowledge a plus.

Systems integration/engineering knowledge a plus.

Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation:

Annual Pay Range: $85,000 - $145,000
