Category Manager - Supply Chain Resiliency .
Your Day-to-Day:
The position has the overarching responsibility of formulating and executing the Supply Chain Resiliency (Security of Supply) Program by leveraging supply chain design, category, and component risk frameworks. This position will lead the development of Supply Chain Resiliency strategy, identify process and information gaps, and lead a cross-functional/business unit team in devising solutions that integrate geo-political and natural disaster risk into the Supply Chain Resiliency standard work. Additionally, the position will establish an operational cadence, define metrics and targets, and ensure the enterprise achieves reductions in risk exposure while providing regular updates to both executive and business unit leadership on progress and results tracking.• Lead a cross-functional team in formulating strategy and vision, incorporating benchmarking of best practices from industry leaders.• Guide a cross-functional team in identifying existing gaps in standard work and data, facilitating the creation of a detailed plan for executing standard work, data solutions, and reporting requirements.• Support the creation and delivery of program status reviews to Executive Sr. leadership, communicating project status, mitigated risks, remaining actions, and required support or barriers.• Spearhead the development of an overall plan and timeline to mitigate supply chain risk, encompassing geo-political and geographical considerations.• Collaborate with Account Management and Category Management teams to prioritize, resource, and execute Source Change or Design Change projects through a gated process, supported by the Procurement Project Management team.• Responsible for comprehensive planning, including resource planning, to ensure the execution of plans aligns with leadership expectations.• Lead cross functional team in defining, developing, and implementing standard work to address identified risk exposure, optimizing efficiency in project execution.• Foster collaboration among Account Management, SPE, PPM, Category Management, Operations, Materials, and Engineering teams to devise solutions for mitigating supply chain risk exposure, including design and source change projects• Accountable for team's execution of solutions to mitigate risks, encompassing supplier manufacturing location transfers, source change projects, and design change projects.• Oversee Project Management working with BU Procurement teams to align with Functional, SBU and Enterprise stakeholders to prioritize projects, and secure resources to efficiently execute projects to mitigate highest risk exposure.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field or equivalent required.7 years' related experience required.5 years' experience Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations with min 2 years' experience in project management & min 2 years in category, operations, and/or materials management preferredPMP certification Nice to have.AIPICS certification preferred.Demonstrated experience leading large, complex cross-functional, global projects within matrixed organizationsDemonstrated experience coordinating, facilitating discussions, consultation, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to drive program specific issues and goals to closure.Experience in supplier development, materials management, and/or plant operations a plus.Must be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience driving initiatives.Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and draw conclusions from quantitative data.Strong interpersonal skills: ability to communicate and engage at all organizational levels, ability to cultivate highly effective teams to drive operational excellence.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ProjectERP system or similar system experience in a global environment is beneficial (SAP & Ariba)Ability to travel up to 25%Why Westinghouse?
