About Us: Your Future AwaitsNorthwest Veterinary Hospital, located in the charming town of Delta, Ohio, is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. With over 60 years of combined experience, our doctors provide exceptional care to a loyal clientele, focusing primarily on small animals (approximately 90%) but also treating a variety of farm animals, including pigs, sheep, goats, cows, white-tailed deer, reindeer, llamas, and alpacas.

Your Role: Make an Impact Every DayAs an Associate Veterinarian, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of species, performing routine and emergency procedures, and building strong relationships with clients. While we would love to welcome a mixed animal veterinarian, we are open to candidates who specialize in small animals.

Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problemsTreat and dress woundsPerform surgery on animalsTest for and vaccinate against diseasesOperate medical equipment, such as x-ray machinesAdvise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatmentsPrescribe medicationWork closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality careQualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree requiredLicensure in the state/s candidate will be workingAbility to show compassion to both pets and their ownersOutstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasksAbility to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animalStrong fondness and understanding of animalsGood communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of animal behaviorAbility to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
