Job Description:

As a Software Project Manager for the Information Solutions team, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects within the manufacturing sector, focusing on the delivery of industrial software solutions. Your role will involve collaboration with clients to navigate the unique challenges they face, ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet the necessary quality standards. Familiarity with software development processes, including tools like Git and Jira, is essential. Experience with platforms like Ignition, Rockwell, or Wonderware is preferred. Experience in solution architecture within the industrial software domain is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities:

Oversee technical project execution in the industrial software domain, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction.Interface with clients to define and manage project scope, requiring both technical expertise and strong project management capabilities.Convey a positive image of Design Group and support for the development of strong Culture consistent with the Guiding Principles of Leadership.Support our Leadership teams in securing engineering engagements with current and future Design Group clients, which includes proposal preparation, estimating, contract negotiation, order processing, and project set-up.Planning of project workload and staffing of projects to ensure the proper execution of the work. Staffing strategy includes communication and coordination within the Information Solutions teamLeveraging firm-wide Design Group standards and procedures for the execution of Information Solutions projects. This includes participating on councils responsible for overseeing and adopting firm-wide standards.Drive projects to successful completion, delving into technical details as needed to support the project team's direction and execution.Build and maintain strong relationships with key client contacts to facilitate ongoing communication and satisfaction.Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting of project activities and timely invoicing.Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing automation/controls/software projects within manufacturing or industrial sectors.Technical background should encompass software development methodologies, particularly experience with Git, Jira, and Agile practices.Familiarity with architecting and implementing industrial software solutions, including SCADA and MES systems, is essential. Experience with platforms like Ignition, Rockwell, or Wonderware is preferred.Prior experience in client-facing roles with a proven track record of successful project delivery.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with various multi-level stakeholders, including clients and vendors.Willingness to travel as required for project installations, client interactions, training sessions, and industry events.

Education:

A B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Other relevant degrees combined with practical experience will also be considered.
