DescriptionThe Marketing department is responsible for building awareness and support for The Action Center's wide range of human service programs to drive philanthropy and community support. The Marketing Associate position works across the agency in the promotion and marketing of the agency’s mission and brand through the design and production of internal and external communication materials. The Action Center remains a trusted ally in navigating life’s challenges, continuously evolving to meet the needs of our community.RequirementsWork with the Marketing and Communications Manager to create and implement marketing strategies and tasksProduce accurate, concise, clear, well-reasoned content according to the Action Center brand style and timelinesHelp build and manage the Marketing/Communication editorial calendar, and department calendarCapture multimedia content utilizing photography, videography, and storytelling skills at events, activities, and donor interactionsCreate and schedule social media content for all departments utilizing the publishing dashboardTrack the impact of campaigns and marketing efforts to improve the effectivenessResearch, draft, and edit articles and website copyCoordinate with the internal teams to create promotional materials, implement revisions quickly across all communication channels, and provide project files as neededProduce and distribute the monthly general & volunteer newslettersAssist with organizing and staffing donor and volunteer eventsManage daily administrative tasks to ensure the Marketing department runs smoothlyRemain up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media/digital channelsStay up-to-date and knowledgeable about the Jefferson County communityOther duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & REQUIREMENTSThe ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, flexible, and attentive to detail. Applicants are expected to have excellent written and oral communication knowledge in addition to:BS degree in Marketing or relevant field, or equivalent work experienceMinimum 2 years of work experience in marketing, communications, or public relationsExcellent written, public speaking, and verbal communication skillsPassionate about writing and multimedia content creation with the ability to write clearly and accurately on deadlineKnowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques including social media platforms, and SEO/SEM campaignsMust be technologically savvy with graphic design skills in Canva and Adobe Creative SuiteFamiliarity with our other current tech is a plus: MS Office, Google Apps, Constant Contact, WordPress, Monday.com, Wondershare Filmora, social media scheduling platformStrong time-management and organizational skillsSelf-motivated, fast learner, and able to multi-taskDemonstrated drive for superior serviceCuriosity and excitement for learning more about the Action Center and Jefferson County communityAbility to work well with others in a team, grounded in collaboration and respect for your co-workersNonprofit experience a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDSA mostly stationary position, with the ability to move about as needed to access, collect, and interact with others to collect content (photos, videos, etc. in various locations) to meet the needs of the job.WORK ENVIRONMENTWork environment will vary from an office to the outside, to various other parts of the Action Center’s campus.
