Job DescriptionTitle : Windows Systems Administrator
Location : Miami
Type : Contract – 7+ months (12 month extension possible)
Primary Qualifications:
Windows Server Management:
Proficiency in administering Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of these platforms.
Active Directory:
Expertise in managing Active Directory for tasks such as user and group management, network resource allocation, and deploying group policies.
DNS:
Ability to setup, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain DNS servers to ensure reliable and secure name resolution services.
Server Virtualization:
Familiarity with server virtualization technologies like Hyper-V or VMware.
Network Administration:
Knowledge of network protocols, network security measures, routing, and switching.
Scripting Skills:
Proficiency in scripting languages for automating tasks, such as PowerShell or Python.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
Understanding of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning and execution.
Security:
Knowledge of security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot common server and network issues.
Interpersonal Skills:
Good communication skills are crucial for explaining technical details to non-technical team members and stakeholders.
Knowledge of SAN/NAS Storage:
Understanding of storage technologies like SAN (Storage Area Network) or NAS (Network Attached Storage) is essential.
System Builds:
Familiarity with building, configuring, and maintaining computer systems.
Detailed Documentation:
Ability to accurately document procedures, configurations, or repair processes.
Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL):
Familiarity with ITIL practices for IT service management that focuses on aligning IT services with the needs of business.
