Senior Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a seasoned Senior Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team in Fort Lee, NJ. This position is ideal for an accomplished professional with extensive experience in commercial litigation, looking to contribute to a collaborative and congenial work environment.Duties:Manage all phases of commercial litigation, from pre-trial through trial and appeal.Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court throughout the litigation process.Attend and represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and mediations.Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and provide mentorship to junior associates.Stay abreast of changes in litigation practices and relevant laws to ensure compliance and effective representation.Requirements:A minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial litigation.Admission to the New Jersey and New York Bar is required.Demonstrated expertise in drafting litigation documents and conducting discovery.Proven track record of handling complex cases through all phases of litigation.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the New Jersey and New York Bar Associations.Skills:Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities for clear and effective client interaction.Strong research and analytical skills to assess legal issues and develop strategic responses.Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment.Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.Proficient in litigation software and legal research tools.
