Senior Litigation Counsel

A well-respected law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Counsel to join its Baton Rouge, LA office. This role involves supporting a litigation team with a focus on federal court class actions and defense litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex litigation, particularly in federal courts, and will possess strong research, writing, and deposition skills. Location

Baton Rouge, LA Duties

Participate actively in trial preparation, including case strategy, discovery, and records review. Conduct client and witness interviews to support case development. Take and defend depositions and prepare motions. Research complex legal issues and draft briefs, legal memorandums, and other documents. Provide strategic advice and representation in federal and state litigation matters. Requirements

Experience in defense litigation, with a focus on class actions or complex cases. Proven ability to take and defend depositions. Strong research and analytical skills, particularly in complex litigation areas. Excellent writing skills for preparing briefs and legal documents. Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications

Licensed to practice law in the State of Louisiana. Skills

Proficient in legal research and litigation strategy. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Benefits
