A law firm seeks a seasoned Senior Associate Attorney with expertise in litigation and insurance defense to join its team in Corona, CA. This role requires 5+ years of experience in civil litigation, providing strategic representation, and managing a diverse caseload. With a hybrid work option, this position offers a challenging and rewarding environment focused on delivering high-quality legal services in areas such as auto liability, general liability, premises liability, and professional liability.Duties:Analyze legal and factual issues to independently develop and present defense strategies for clients.Draft pleadings, discovery requests, depositions, motions, and briefs to support case strategies.Conduct depositions and represent clients effectively in court and at hearings, both in-person and virtually as required.Communicate proactively with clients, adjusters, and representatives, providing timely legal advice and updates.Coordinate with court personnel, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel professionally and efficiently.Oversee prompt and effective case resolution, managing cases from inception through completion.Prepare witnesses and evidence for trials, hearings, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution settings.Log billable hours accurately and meet monthly billing expectations (average of 175 hours per month).Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on insurance defense preferred.Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar (required) and/or Nevada State Bar (advantageous).Strong legal writing and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload with multiple priorities and deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with legal software and technology.Responsive communication skills, with punctuality in correspondence and client interactions.Willingness to appear in court and travel as needed for hearings, client meetings, and other legal engagements.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership with the California State Bar (required); Nevada State Bar is a plus.Skills:Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for client and court interactions.Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations typical of a demanding legal practice.Skilled in organizing and managing documentation, with experience in billing and meeting productivity targets.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-focused environment.This position is ideal for an experienced Associate Attorney with a background in litigation and insurance defense, ready to take on complex cases in a supportive and collaborative firm.
