We are the Class-A Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs and are located less than a mile from the beautiful white sand beaches that stretch for 60+ miles along the Grand Strand. Myrtle Beach hosts 20,000,000+ visitors annually and the destination consistently ranks among the best in the country. The Pelicans are entering their 26th season in Myrtle Beach and play at beautiful Pelicans Ballpark.

Responsibilities
Work closely with the Director of Retail & Ballpark Operations in the areas of facility operations management and daily ballpark operations.Work in tandem and independently with other Operations Assistant to ensure the ballpark is kept clean by working with and serving in a supervisory role of cleaning crewAssist in ensuring ballpark is setup on specific schedule prior to gates openServe as liaison and/or perform duties for custodial and maintenance needsAbility to learn the ballpark operating systems, i.e. HVAC, plumbing, electrical and concessions.Assist in supervision and execution of ballpark parking operationAssist in game day operations as needed as well as special events or projects.Work with Pelicans parking crew to ensure a friendly efficient experienceMaintain relationship with front office staff and City employees in regards to operational needs.Assist in the recruiting, hiring and training of ballpark cleaning personnelAssist in facilitating daily game staff briefingsActively participate in making Pelicans Ballpark the best ballpark experience in the countryAssist on playing field as neededAssist in the orchestration of outside events, i.e Myrtle Beach Marathon, Baseball at the Beach, city events, Triple Crown,etcPerform additional duties as neededQualifications
Experience in general maintenance with a good working knowledge of light tools.Available to work a full schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hoursGeneral Knowledge of Small Engine Repair preferred but not requiredPrevious experience in a similar environmentPrior MILB experience preferredDependable with reliable transportationWillingness to pursue a career in MILBMust be able to lift over 50 lbs. and stand or walk for long periods of time in adverse weather including rain and heatOvernight Shift will be requiredDedicated to making the Pelicans Experience the best in the country is a mustAbility to work in tandem yet independently with the other ops assistantThis is a hands on position, in both a supervisory and maintenance role
