Overview:

Surgical Trauma "3A" is a 33-bed unit, fast-paced med-surg telemetry unit which focuses on adult post- operative and trauma patients. Nurse patient ratios are: Days 5:1, Nights 6:1. On our unit we offer you the opportunity to develop excellent critical thinking skills as well as use a wide variety of clinical skills including:Head-to-toe assessmentsReading and posting telemetry stripsIV insertionsCatheter, trach, and ostomy careWound careChest tubes

Qualifications:Education:

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.Licensure:

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.Certifications:

Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.Physical requirements/demands:
