Job Title: VP of Residential & Day Hab Programs Program: Residential, Day Hab,Reporting Location: Red Hook/Ghent, NY Reports To: Executive DirectorFLSA Status: ExemptScope of Work:
Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the VP of Residential and Day Hab Programs will be responsible for the operational success of In Flight, Inc. ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control and evaluation for both Residential and Day Hab Programs.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in human services, or related field. MA preferred,5+ years’ experience managing staffKnowledge of OPWDD Regulations and Rights for Individuals with DDDuties:Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, program evaluation, and consistent quality.Provide ongoing support, supervision and training on rules, regulations, agency policies and procedures, and industry best practices to Assistant Residential Directors and Managers. This support will include documented progressive discipline and Coaching and Mentoring when necessary.Establish departmental priorities, policies and procedures. Direct the staff to accomplish objectives in accordance with the mission and strategic plan. Ensure the safety of the staff and the people we serve.Acts as liaison with external agencies, families of people we support, and the community at large regarding agency programs, policies, and procedures.Responsible for the fiscal management of the department, ensuring programs are running effectively and within parameters of agency budget. Assess departmental efficiency, make recommendations, and implement changes to ensure quality of care and regulatory complianceEnsure all program/regulatory documentation is provided/compliant on a monthly basis and in advance of submission of Medicaid BillingProvide information, screenings, observations, opinions and recommendations regarding the hiring, promotion, and termination of assigned employees.Ensure cooperation and efficient operations between program staff and staff in other departments. Resolve interdepartmental operating issues and concerns.Perform a variety of management and leadership functions, including participating in recruitment, hiring, orientation and training, conducting performance appraisals, recommending salary increases, managing disciplinary action, and other supervisory activities related to the operation of the department.Works in conjunction with the other departments to monitor the delivery of Quality, Clinical, Nursing, Research, Medical and Psychiatric Services.Participate in necessary committee meetings such as Admissions/Discharge, HRC, IRC, Operations and any other as required or needed.Carry out special assignments, prepare reports, and oversee other projects as directed.
