Job Description:As an IT Security Manager, you will reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and is responsible for directing subordinate supervisors and staff in the development and delivery of IT security standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the operations of the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and security analystsSupport the Compliance team in maintaining and establishing a stronger security posture through policy, architecture, and training processesAssist in the selection of appropriate security solutions and oversee vulnerability audits and assessmentsInterface with peers in the Systems and Network departments and business unit leaders to share the corporate security vision and solicit their involvement in enhancing enterprise securityOversee the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of all new security solutions and enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with best operating procedures and enterprise security documentsCreate and maintain the department's security architecture designWork with the InfoSec Compliance team to create and maintain the department's Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery PlanImplement processes for auditing and addressing information security standards noncomplianceSupport the maintenance of the department's security awareness training programConduct studies to ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practicesManage and participate in planning and implementing security administration for all IT projects, evaluating and selecting security applications and systemsMake recommendations for changes to work methods and procedures to strengthen security measuresMaintain security documents, including policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and proceduresSupervise investigations into problematic activity and maintain ongoing communication with the CISO and InfoSec teamSupervise the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits
Required Skills, Experiences, Education and Competencies:
Extensive experience with security and technology tools such as SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk), endpoint security, and threat intelligence toolsStrong understanding of security standards and best practicesProven leadership abilities in directing teams and managing security initiativesExcellent communication skills to interface with various stakeholdersRelevant certifications in information security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, etc.) are preferred
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
