The Data Entry Specialist for Scheduling Support is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining critical data related to production schedules, inventory, and order fulfillment. This role ensures that scheduling information is current, accessible, and accurate, providing vital support to the scheduling and production planning teams. The Data Entry Specialist will work closely with scheduling coordinators, production managers, and other cross-functional teams to facilitate efficient production workflows and maintain data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry and System Maintenance:
Accurately input production schedules, inventory data, and other relevant information into scheduling and ERP systems.Update schedule data daily, ensuring real-time accuracy and reflecting any changes to production plans or priorities.Verify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, correcting any errors in a timely manner.
Support for Scheduling and Production Planning:
Assist scheduling and planning teams with data organization and provide up-to-date schedule information as required.Help generate reports, summaries, and other documentation to support scheduling decisions and facilitate production alignment.Monitor and reconcile discrepancies between scheduled and actual production to maintain accurate records.
Reporting and Documentation:
Create and distribute regular reports on production schedules, inventory levels, and any variances affecting production timelines.Maintain documentation and logs of data entries, updates, and modifications to ensure audit trail and accountability.Assist in preparing reports to provide insights into scheduling accuracy, data integrity, and production performance.
Continuous Improvement:
Support the enhancement of data entry processes to increase efficiency and reduce the likelihood of errors.Participate in process improvement initiatives, suggesting methods to streamline data entry and scheduling support tasks.Collaborate with team members to identify and implement best practices for data management within scheduling workflows.
Cross-Functional Communication:
Coordinate with production, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure data reflects current production plans and priorities.Respond promptly to scheduling team inquiries about data entry, providing support and clarification as needed.Communicate any significant data or scheduling changes to relevant teams to avoid disruptions in production flow.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher is a plus.1-2 years of experience in data entry, preferably within manufacturing, logistics, or scheduling support.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to manage spreadsheets and simple data analysis.Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus, but not required.Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
