ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Must be able to complete all daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly cleaning tasks as explained and train other staff on these items.Must be able to respond to maintenance emergencies which may include shutting down water and/or electric and contacting the proper personnel in a timely manner.Must be able to replace HVAC filters in return grills and univents.Must attend all mandatory meetings (e.g. safety, training and communications).Receives deliveries and takes to secretary, once checked in, delivers to appropriate party.Pulls and delivers teacher supply requests in a timely manner.Keep all storage, electrical, and mechanical rooms clean and organized.Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.Must be able to operate electric and battery equipment for cleaning.Must be able to operate electric and battery operated tools for small repairs.Must be able to operate a leaf blower.Must be able to report to work in inclement weather.Snow removal-shoveling, snow blowing, and salting (lift 50 lb. bag of salt) when assigned.Must be able to push, pull, and lift 60lbs.Drive an automobile, van, or light truck.Dress: Shirts will be provided. Must wear pants or jeans with no holes in them. Work shoes - leather uppers, raised heel. Protective clothing as needed - gloves, jackets, etc.Address cleaning concerns with other custodians employed by Spring-Ford and contracted staff.Report cleaning and performance concerns of other custodians employed by Spring-Ford and contracted staff with Lead Custodian, Supervisor of Operations, and/or Director of Operations.Must work hours assigned.Any other duties as assigned by Lead Custodian, Supervisor of Operations, and/or Director of Operations.Knowledge:

Must be able to frequently push, pull, lift/carry up to 60 lbs.Be able to use a back-pack vacuum (Up to 15lbs).Must be able to set up and break down an event by yourself (e.g. lift tables, set up chairs, empty trash cans, turn on PA- system).Must be able to climb to 12 foot ladder to complete work tasks (for example but not limited to changing light bulbs, dustering, changing filters, and checking above ceilings for issues).Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time up to, but not limited to 3 hours.Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.Must be able to regularly talk and hear.Must be able to regularly balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and smell.Dress: Shirts will be provided.
