Job Summary

Position Overview:As the Executive Director of Technology at Natomas Unified School District, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, vision, and oversight for all aspects of information technology across the district. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education by integrating technology into our teaching and learning processes, ensuring seamless technology operations, and promoting data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Customer Service: Provide and promote excellent and efficient customer service to support students, staff, and families' use of technology.• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology plan aligned with the district's educational goals, ensuring that technology enhances the learning experience for students and educators.• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth through effective communication, meetings, and support systems.• Communication: Effective and timely communication with staff, students, and families.• Infrastructure and Systems: Oversee the management and maintenance of the district's technology infrastructure, including networks, hardware, and software systems.• Educational Technology Integration: Collaborate with educators to integrate technology into the curriculum, promoting the use of innovative tools and platforms that enhance teaching and learning.• Cybersecurity: Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data, e

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and leadership abilities could qualify someone for this position. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and leadership abilities would be one or both of the following:

Education: Graduation from a four-year accredited university with a degree in Educational Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Educational, or Public Administration or equivalent is desired.

Experience: Minimum five (5) years increasingly responsible and related leadership experience with:-Proven experience in a leadership role within K-12 education or a related field.-Strong understanding of educational technology trends, tools, and best practices.-Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.-Knowledge of relevant compliance and regulatory standards in educational technology.-Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.-Visionary leadership and a commitment to improving education through technology.
