The Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing training programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees across the organization. This role involves collaborating with various departments, to assess training needs, and create engaging and effective learning materials to support a wide array of leadership development efforts as well as our process, technology, and continuous improvement programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adult learning principles, excellent communication skills, and a passion for employee development and is comfortable in delivering training in a variety of formats.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop needed training programs to support company-wide training initiatives. This will include preparing presentation material, Participant Guides, Facilitator Guides, Job Aids, and any other materials needed to support the training initiative.Maintain, edit, and update existing training materials as needed.Facilitate and deliver training sessions both in person and virtually, ensuring that the content is engaging and clear. Use interactive methods to encourage participation and retention of information.Assess the effectiveness of training programs by collecting feedback, tracking key performance indicators (KPI's), and making adjustments to improve learning outcomes. Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance the training experience.Leverage learning management systems (LMS) and other digital tools to administer, track, and report on training programs.All other duties assigned by management.Three (3) years of experience in Corporate Training, Instructional Design, or a related field.Must possess strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Experience with e-learning platforms and learning management systems (LMS).Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.Experience with Google Suite of applications or Microsoft Office Suite.Familiarity with any of Franklin Covey, Dale Carnegie, and/or Sandler Sales Training programs is a plus.A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design or a related field and a minimum of 5 years in a learning and development role or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must be able to effectively communicate with a wide range of people including front-line employees, management-level employees, and Executive level employees. This position requires the ability to read and write English.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Must maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Must be available for regional travel on an as-needed basis. Must be available for travel outside of the designated region occasionally as required.
