**Job Title:** Registered Nurse**Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU)**Job Duration:** 14 weeks**Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)**Guaranteed Hours:****Experience:** 2+ years in specialty, traumatic/general surgery post-op patient experience required**License:** Compact or Kentucky State License at time of submission**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, and Telemetry experience required
**Must-Have:**- Experience with Level 1-2 trauma- Experience with abdominal surgeries
**Job Description:**
- Work in an acute progressive unit, handling heavy Trauma/GI post-operative patients.- Strong skills in foley catheters, surgical drains, surgical oncology, wound vacs, ostomy, ports and PICCs, TPN, and lipids are essential.- Will consider first-time travelers with Level 1 trauma experience.- Candidates may be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.- Must be strong in managing trauma and general surgery patients post-operation.- Specific training modules will be completed during orientation and annually, averaging 6.5 hours.- Call policy involves response time within an hour, with specific call hours for weekdays and weekends.- Previous experience working in this facility must be disclosed during submission to ensure eligibility for rehire.
