PURPOSE OF POSITION
Inspect, pack, and package filters by hand in conformance to specifications while operating within safety guidelines.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Approve in process production by confirming specifications through conducting visual and measurement tests and communicating required adjustments to machine operator.Visually inspect filters and detect defects using First Piece Inspection form.Remove completed or defective filters and notify machine operator of defects.Repair, clean, and seal filters using a hot glue gun in accordance with specifications.Able to pack line without assistance.Verify correct label and carton is used for packaging.Apply correct label onto cartons, seal boxes, and cube finished product for pick up.Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met.Scan final product into production through the use of a RF scanner.Document inspection results by completing reports and logs and summarizing re-work and waste.Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
6 months of recent (within 1 year) packing/assembly/quality work in a manufacturing setting.Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.High school diploma or equivalent. (Must be able to read, write, and speak in English).Knowledge and minimum 6 months experience using a tape measure.• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
Basic knowledge of computers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
• May be required to lift up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand at workstation for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to have repetitive motion which would include bending, twisting, and squatting.
• Must be able to use both hands and arms in repetitive motions.
