**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks, with potential to extend up to March 15, 2025

**Shift:** Night, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15), Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years in a similar, challenging, and busy unit with relevant experience in ratios/acuity

**License:** NC or Compact license, pending is acceptable

**Certifications:** ACLS, BCLS, NIH

**Must-Have:**- IV start and telemetry skills- Experience with pre and post-procedure cardiac patients- Ability to handle cardiac drips- Comfortable working a 1:5-6 patient ratio

**Job Description:**

- Work in a primary cardiac and stroke unit.- Provide stable pre/post care for pacemaker implantation, implanted cardioverter/defibrillators, and cardiac catheterization.- Manage post-uncomplicated interventional peripheral vascular procedures or cardiac interventions without sheaths.- Handle non-rebreather masks with stable O2 saturation and monitor unstable angina, low-risk chest pain evaluation, CHF, dysrhythmias, all new CVA, TIA patients.- Run multiple drips: Cardiazem, Dopamine, Amiodarone, etc.- Ability to titrate Cardizem drips.- Adapt to a fast-paced unit with a weekly turnover of 78 to 90 patients.- Collaborate with a team lead to assist with admissions and discharges.- Work in a unit that currently houses COVID-positive patients with the use of opti-flow and BIPAP during surges.- Utilize special equipment including telemetry, pulse ox, high flow O2, non-rebreather masks (palliative), and chronic-use Bipap.- Complete unit orientation, including 36 hours during the first week for hospital orientation.- Follow self-scheduling guidelines with oversight from leadership for balance as needed.- Wear navy blue or white scrubs or a combination, with jackets matching the uniform material and color.- Must pass EKG testing prior to starting for this specialty.- Participate in a Zoom interview process for final offer consideration.
