**Job Description:**
- Work in a 30-bed unit with a patient ratio of 5-6:1.- Utilize equipment such as Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Philips Telemetry, and MP2s.- Use Meditech for documentation.- Administer medications using WOW with med drawers and the PyxisES dispensing system.- Adhere to scheduling requirements, including every other weekend shifts.- Float between various medical/surgical areas, including General MS, Ortho, PCU, M/S surgical with oncology, unless skill mix requires otherwise.- Engage in bedside and hourly rounding with 5P’s, reporting needs to PCTs at the start and during shifts.- Perform procedures like chest tube management, wound vac management, and ad-lib EKGs.- Manage heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips.- Follow dress code: Navy scrubs for RN, ceil blue for CNA/PCT, with options for a white, blue, grey, or black t-shirt underneath.- Note: No artificial or gel nails or gel nail polish allowed.- Contribute to the documentation of telemetry application, rhythm strip acknowledgment, and chart placement each shift.- Participate in the NO PASS ZONE for bed alarms, call lights, and IV alarms.- Opportunities for recognition include nominations for Daisy and Bee Awards, iHEAL awards.- Enjoy a collaborative environment with Charge Nurses having extensive tenure and shared governance within units and facilities.
