Students can enhance their college experience by working in a challenging and dynamic workplace, gaining invaluable experience for next steps in their careers.Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following:* Application of engineering calculations.* Manage projects across multiple disciplines within Shape.* Create technical documents summarizing data analysis and conclusions.* Ability to present technical information.* Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor, not otherwise specified in this position description.Process Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering Focuses* Study and implement equipment design improvements.* Study and define optimum processing windows.* Document and present all study findings via reports and/or operator instructions.* Introduction to Six Sigma and problem solving using the DMAIC process.* Statistical analysis including DoE.* Create simple tool and fixture designs in AutoCAD or Solidworks.* Support continuous improvement activities.* Support in troubleshooting and problem solving of production issues.* Create/revise operator instructions for various activities on the shop floor.* Support asset management (transfers of equipment/tooling).* Support annual safety audits of equipment.* Support plant layout management including revisions and future plant layout planning.Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor, not otherwise specified in this position description.Education & Experience* Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree within an accredited program seeking degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other relevant science or engineering field.* 3.0 GPA or higher on 4.0 GPA scale, strongly preferred.* Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.* Able to work independently and with a team.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Strong analytical, statistical and problem-solving skills.
