Atlanta, GA or Raleigh, NC .About the roleThe Global Head, Data Partnerships will identify, negotiate, prioritize, and onboard external data assets aligned to the development and commercialization of UCB's biopharmaceutical assets. The Head of Data Partnerships will have full comprehension of current and new data vendor sources that will allow UCB to derive key insights and evidence and expert level proficiency in syndicated and custom pharmaceutical data sources. More specifically, the successful candidate will be responsible for scanning the data landscape and maintaining close ties with external healthcare data providers to ensure best-in-class understanding of available data sources. Additionally, the head will be responsible for data evaluation, contracting, execution and onboarding of data.Who you'll work withUCB aims to create a new global data acquisition team to improve our data acquisition strategy and meet the current and future data needs of various therapeutic areas and patient populations. By prioritizing the acquisition of high-quality healthcare data, UCB aims to drive better decision-making and improve patient outcomes. The global data acquisition team will act as centralized center of expertise aimed at supporting the evolving UCB portfolio through innovative data solutions.The team areas of focus will include:Sourcing healthcare data from a variety of reliable sources, including patient-level claims, electronic medical records (EMR), laboratories, genetics, prescribers, etc. to maximize data value realization.Leading the implementation of scalable data platforms and solutions, such as data tokenization, to enable new capabilities across the enterprise.Enhancing cross-functional efficiencies by maximizing data utilization, sharing expertise across different functions, and applying insights from various use cases throughout the product lifecycle.What you'll doLead a team of data specialists in scanning the data landscape, identify potential data acquisition opportunities and ensure data acquisitions are planned for maximum value realization and in alignment with UCB requirements and objectives.Ensure our long-term data strategy needs are properly enabled by our internal and external data partners.Liaise with other team members in the Global Data Acquisition team to understand existing data needs and gaps across UCB.Conduct ongoing landscape scanning activities to understand the evolution of the global healthcare data ecosystem and serve as the primary connection for data providers with UCB, managing our relationship and resources.Evaluate data providers and offerings through RFI/RFPs to ensure we are acquiring the right data for the right use cases.Creatively identify unique and efficient data and platforms to enable data usage and access across multiple stakeholders.Partner with IT, Data Office, and external partners to ensure access to data and platforms are available for key stakeholders.Manage and communicate current and new providers and offerings to facilitate deep expertise within the Data Acquisition Strategy Team.Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills:Bachelors Degree.Master/Doctor's degree in quantitative area is preferred.7+ years experience working with various forms of pharmaceutical data.4+ years of experience partnering with internal and external partners.2+ years exposure with quantitative data evaluation.Expertise in healthcare data, particularly, patient level claims data and HCP level data, US and ex-US.This position's reasonably anticipated base salary range is $199,000 - $233,000.
