What is the job about?
We at Grundfos are looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join our Industry Supply Chain Americas team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the Inventory Planning and Order Execution of the Industry Products in America's Distribution Centers. You will perform and Coordinate Planning activities in 3 different DCs in the US and Canada to guarantee product availability in accordance with the Segmentation and Stocking rules.
Responsibilities of the role include working on Order Execution activities to ensure we meet customers' requested delivery dates. You will work closely with plants, sales, customer service and logistics colleagues to ensure the plans are aligned with demand and supply.
Additionally, the role includes managing purchasing, managing inventory budgets, and gathering data to prepare trends and forecasting reports for colleagues, management, and other stakeholders.
You will report to the Sr. Supply Chain Manager for Industry Americas, and work on a hybrid schedule out of our Lenexa, KS office.
Your main responsibilities
:
Set preferred stock levels while preventing excess inventory as well as stockouts.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly routines to ensure the department meets the performance targets.
Ensure high master data quality within the area of responsibility.
Monitor product availability, stock levels, delivery performance, and plant replenishment performance.
Design and create new tools to help improve the planning functions.
Prepare detailed reports relating to MRP, back orders, and schedules.
Lead the Segmentation process for the designated products. This process includes interaction with Sales Leaders.
Drive the delivery performance of internal and external suppliers.
Responsible for reaching the agreed planning targets (performance management). Initiate a root cause analysis and countermeasures in case of deviations.
Planning of product phase-in and phase-out in cooperation with sales and suppliers.
Regular meetings with production to achieve performance goals.
Design and maintain metrics, indicators, and dashboards; carry out relevant reporting and deep dive analytics.
Your background
:
We imagine that you have:
A bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management or a degree in a related field and equivalent experience.
Experience developing or creating processes specifically within Supply Chain.
5+ years of relevant work experience.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Power BI is an advantage.
Experience working with defined processes & analytics within Supply Chain.
Possess industry experience within a business environment; experience working in a large (discrete) manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
Solid knowledge of the plans, processes, metrics and activities within the functional area in Supply chain.
The ability to influence others.
A natural interest & savvy for relevant supply chain IT systems/tools with the ability to fast adopt new one.
The ability to facilitate and drive improvement initiatives.
The ability to approach improvements from an end-to-end and holistic view.
