Job Description:The Payroll Operations - Dayforce Senior Technical Lead will focus on the system requirements for activity related to new payroll integration projects and ongoing review of existing inbound (e.g., time records, benefits information, employee information) and outbound (e.g., payroll outputs, compliance reports) interfaces.Project responsibilities include:Facilitation of requirements gathering, design and configuration of the Dayforce solution to meet documented requirementsSetting and managing timeline expectationsProviding guidance to Payroll team, identifying risks, and communicating issues to the Payroll Tech LeadDayforce Senior Technical Lead responsibilities include:Oversees and maintains the optimal function of Dayforce, which may include configuration, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modulesResponsible for technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS usersResponsible for identifying system improvements and enhancements; recommends and configures/implements solutionsManages permissions, access, and security settings that are owned by the Payroll teamIn-depth experience of Dayforce Integrations includes Core HR and Data, Workforce Management, PayrollSolid experience of end-to-end Payroll process, calculation, and servicesExperience with leading test phases, including test planning, creating test scenarios, executing testing, documenting defects, reporting testing metricsAdvanced project management and organizational abilitiesAbility to engage with multiple projects at the same time and manage prioritiesAbility to lead and facilitate workshops and sessionsAbility to translate business needs into functional and technical requirementsAbility to work closely with third-party vendorsContribute to payroll insight and solutionsAnalysis and solving of increasingly complex problemsStrong analytical and research skillsAbility to effectively communicate requirements and updates to Payroll LeadsDocument all new learnings or changes in processes in the standard format and seek relevant approvals on a periodic basisParticipate in process improvement initiatives or special projects as assignedFollow established policies, procedures, and methodsOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years Dayforce Technical experienceMinimum of 3 years payroll processing experienceMinimum of 3 years state & local payroll tax experiencePreferred Qualifications/Skills:Payroll ComplianceBusiness Operation ManagementPayroll Planning and DistributionPayroll Process DesignDayforce experienceWorkday HRIS ExperienceProduct certification in at least one Dayforce HCM module (Core HR, Time) is nice to haveProcess Improvement, Program Management, Test Execution and ManagementUnderstanding of relational databases and SQLUnderstanding of common human capital management (HCM) business practicesUnderstanding of different industries and how Dayforce implementation best practices apply to business practicesExperience in business process mappingExperience in change managementProficiency with MS Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPointProfessional Skills:Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environmentExcellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to explain complex technical concepts in simple termsStrong leadership skills to lead teams and drive workforce management initiativesAbility to mentor and guide junior team membersStrong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and financeDemonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilianDemonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
