working with and coaching Multi-Unit Ace Retailers on how to maximize retail sales and profits, improve operational efficiencies, as well as enhance improvement, consistency and adoption of Ace wholesale sales, programs and initiatives. Provides focused strategic, organizational and operational support of Multi-Unit Retailers to assess business needs, develop recommended solutions, recommend growth and store improvement opportunities, create action plans, and ensure adoption. Acts as the liaison between Retailer and Corporate and serves as the Retailer advocate.What you’ll doIntegrate as a Trusted Advisor and team member into the Multi-Unit Retailer organization.Consults with Multi-Unit Retailers and their management team to ensure fundamental business and retail techniques are adopted and executed chain wide. Examples include gross margin, cash flow, expense management, return on investment, customer service, brand management, advertising, merchandise mix, plan-o-grams, labor force optimization, inventory management, etc.Drive chain success by leading and influencing chain leaders with regards to adoption of programs, initiatives, retrofits, relocations, expansions, branch locations, with a dedicated effort of ensuring execution and consistency chain wide.Coordinates the execution of Ace initiatives and programs (e.g., Higher Ground, Leadership development, Ace Helpful, B2B, and Famous for four) chain wide while improving the Multi-Unit Retailers sales and profits.Serves as the Corporate liaison to Multi-Unit Retailers to ensure Retailer loyalty. Serve as the voice of the Multi-Unit Retailers in the eyes of Ace Hardware Corporation. Brings the Multi-Unit Retailer into a “partnership” with Ace Hardware Corporation.What you need to succeedBachelor’s degree, or equivalent, and five years of progressively responsible multi-unit retail experience.Multi-Unit management experience with a retailer operating 10 or more retail locations.Possess an ability to integrate into the Multi-Unit Retailer organization as a Trusted Adviser at the executive level.Influence and support the Multi-Unit Retailer from a Strategic, Operational and Organizational perspective while leveraging the retailers business in support of the Ace direction.Assist in finding ways to leverage resources using economies of scale to maximize returns.Proven ability to influence Retailers and drive consistent execution of optimal retail operational programs and services in a consultative approach.Develop and share data specific to and in support of the implementation of programs and services appropriate to the Multi-Unit Retailer needs.Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Strong PC skills to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
