Hours: Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:30pmSummary & ObjectiveThe Staffing Coordinator's primary responsibility is the staffing and scheduling of nursing staff and providing clerical support to patient care teams of the facility.Essential FunctionsProcess requests and schedule clinical staff for patients in the Continuous Care program.Ensure effective communication with other Interdisciplinary Teams regarding staffing needs.Provide the clinical team with relevant information about patients such as new admissions, discharges, etc.Jointly with other patient care secretaries, order supplies and documentation forms used by the clinical team.Monitor census daily for accuracy.Enter physician itineraries and notes into the Suncoast system weekly.Prepare daily IDT Schedule incorporating revisions or changes as directed by the Manager.Establish and maintain patient records.Provide resources to teams and/or coordinate and schedule pool staff for Patient Care Teams.Provide input and feedback on availability and flexibility of the team staff.Monitor pool staff hours on a monthly basis.Coordinate staffing for continuous care cases with pool staff and/or staff from one of our contracted agencies.Review and maintain records of continuous care cases and prepare monthly report of billable continuous care hours.Prepare weekly and monthly On-Call Schedule and distribute it to appropriate staff.Communicate with answering service and CHI staff regarding On-Call Schedule changes.Ensure that triage staff has appropriate information (i.e. updated Census).Reasonable accommodations
