Job Description:
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is looking for a motivated Principal Subcontracts Administrator to support the Supply Chain Planning Advanced Weapons Team in Northridge, California. The Subcontracts Administrator will encompass the preparation of RFP packages and execution of subcontracts while ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
Apply your understanding of the buyer and the seller roles in establishing mutually successful business arrangements, with experiences in statements of work and solicitations/bid packages, proposal evaluation, price and term negotiations, development of contractual documentation and post award administration.
Use your ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.
Support cross-functional departments within the GSC organization and perform activities in a variety of areas including but not limited to proposal development, negotiations, financial planning, subcontract execution/award, and customer service.
Responsible for executing major subcontract activities and providing contractual support and documentation to suppliers, and Internal Work Orders, in support of Major Component & Spares programs; while ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures
Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 9+ years of relevant experience; will consider 5 years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree
Experience with Government procurement principles, policies, procedures, and regulations
Experience with FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting regulations
Demonstrated negotiation experience
Critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi-task, make decisions in a timely manner and display strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable and Time & Material
Familiarity with terms and conditions, and/or special contract clauses/types such as: long term agreements and intellectual property agreements

Salary Range: $88,700 - $133,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
